JAMAICA'S PRIME MINISTER BRUCE GOLDING ON CIN

Mr. Stephen Hill, CEO of the Caribbean International Network (CIN), is happy to announce that the Prime Minister of Jamaica, The Honourable Bruce Golding will speak on CIN on Sunday, January 3, 2010.  The Prime Minister will extend Christmas and New Year Greetings to his fellow Jamaicans living in New York at 2.30 pm on Time Warner's Channel 25 and Cable Vision's Channel 22.   The PM's Message will also be repeated on the same day on CIN's Channel 73 at 11.30 pm. 

“The Jamaican Diaspora contributes significantly to economic growth of the Jamaican economy through remittances, investments and frequent visits to Jamaica, says Stephen Hill.  It is important that the Prime Minister addresses the importance of the Diaspora and encourage them to continue to assist Jamaica in this period of global economic downturn. CIN is also happy to announce that each month in 2010, the Prime Minister will speak on topics of interest to the over 1 million Jamaicans living in the Tri-State, and through CIN his message will be aired to over 18.9 million people, a first for any Caribbean country”.

HILL & GULLY RIDE RETURNS

The overwhelming response for the highly rated Hill & Gully Ride has encouraged CIN (Caribbean International Network) to return this prize winning show back on CIN in New York.

Hill & Gully Ride, which explores the interesting culture of Jamaica, takes you on a sojourn into the nooks and crannies of the Island, with interviews of a cross-section of Jamaicans, learning about their ways of life and getting interesting stories about their districts.
Hill & Gully Ride will be aired on CIN's Channel 73, Sundays at 5.30 pm, starting December 6.

CIN PROGRAMME LANDS FIRST FULL-LENGTH TV INTERVIEW WITH THE HON. BRUCE GOLDING JAMAICAN PRIME MINISTER

The Hon. Bruce Golding, Prime Minister of Jamaica with Clement Hume, host of Caribbean Lifestyle Magazine (CLM) who interviewed him at Jamaica house recently.

The Caribbean International Network’s Caribbean Lifestyle Magazine (CLM) is the first television program to conduct a full-length interview with Jamaica’s Prime Minister, The Hon. Bruce Golding.

The purpose of the interview is to offer metropolitan New City’s 18 million television viewers a chance to see an in-depth, extended interview on a range of topics vital to Jamaica. This session revealed the unfiltered truth about the current affairs in the country and what the head of state sees for our future. “In light of the global recession, Jamaicans abroad and at home need to know the status of things,” said Stephen Hill, the head of CIN.

Mr. Jarrett highlighted some of the historic strides that Jamaica National has made during it 135 years of operation, and its continuing links with Jamaicans in the USA Diaspora.

Mr. Jarrett also discussed many of the financial products that Jamaica National offers the Diaspora to enhance their savings, expedite the flow of remittances to and from Jamaica, and a mortgage portfolio which today is the largest in the English speaking Caribbean.

Caribbean Lifestyle Magazine (CLM) is a weekly one hour program that is broadcast on the CIN TV network in NY, channel 73 (WNYC-TV) in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island and Queens and is available on Verizon's FIOS and channel 26 in the NY Tri-state area.

The popular program has opened up the landscape for Caribbean culture and has been an effective tool in channeling positive messages from the region. For the past 16 years Caribbean International Network (CIN) has been the only regularly scheduled television service for the Caribbean community in the New York area.  Over the years the network has provided a full menu of news, sports, drama and music programmes created exclusively for the rapidly growing and youthful Caribbean population. This Sunday October 11 2009, Caribbean Lifestyle TV delves into the world of Sports with Howard Aris, President of the Jamaica Amateur Athletics Association as he addresses many of the controversial issues that Jamaican Athletics has been hit with this past season.

Some of the interesting topics he touches on with host Ras Clem are the recent honoring of Usain Bolt with the Order of Jamaica award, the five athletes that failed banned substance tests, what happened with Veronica Campbell-Brown at the World Champs, and the scare with the MVP track Club before the Championships began.
