FEEDBACK

I lived in Brooklyn, NY for ten years and I enjoyed the CIN especially on Sundays. I am now living in Georgia and it is currently five years since I moved and I can't live another year without CIN. Is it possible if you guys are considering to put CIN in Georgia? Many Jamaicans are moving from New York to Georgia,Texas and Florida. I am looking forward to having CIN in Georgia. I spoke to the cable network and they said I had to get in contact with you guys.

Blessing, Christine.

I have been visiting New York more frequently during the past year, promoting the film I produced called Positive and Pregnant.

I am pleased to learn that your channel CINTV , is a household name, among all people of the Caribbean who live in New York... my Family and Friends of Caribbean diaspora enjoy the programming, even I have had the opportunity to see the Trinidad News in Review Program. I find it wonderful that people of Caribbean origin has something to call their own CINTV gives us a sense of pride.

However, I do believe that social media is a great way to connect with our people and our heritage, using that option could be a viable way to promote CINTV to younger audiences. A lot new filmmakers are emerging from the Caribbean, so your channels has a lot in store for he future. Stephen, I encourage you to continue working hard toward your vision.

I often wonder  why don't we as a Caribbean people have a full time television presence on the air. Many times, there is breaking news from Jamaica and we are left to the US media to cover the story, Often, it is piecemeal coverage if covered at all.

I notice that the Chinese, Koreans, Indians, to name a few, have dedicated channels. Is a function of money, togetherness? I am not sure why this currently obtains?

Where are the documentaries and mini dramas on the Christmas Wars, the Maroons Wars, and other great historical moments in our history? Why cannot the history department at UWI Mona, for instance, link with CIN, for instance and produce such shows?

It would be of great vale to our children and to everyone. We watch Gone with the Wind, and other movies documenting US history. Again, is it a matter of financing, imagination,
togetherness? I am not sure.

I was glad  to see a crawler on CIN that says the news from Jamaica will more current. This a great. Recently, for a few weeks now, I have great difficulty watching the 6:30 EST broadcast. It is very dark. The news from Trinidad that comes at 7 p.m. is very clear. Please look into this.

I would love to see highlights from the Dudus commission or a release of the tapes for sale.

Mr. Hill, I ellaborated above to make the point that  CIN as it relates to cultural identity and national development provides an invaluable service. I plan my Sundays around CIN.

Many of us in the Queens area are not able to view any news or entertainment because we have Direct Television  Network  this is not right  before  we were able to see the news  every sundays now for over a month nothing without any warning how fair is this to us  we are jamaicans and we are not able to be in jamaica so we look forward to see the news and entertainment every week. what we need to do switch our network? our carib comunity should not have to do that. we all should be able to view this network. we are asking for u to please consider us  we should not be left out like this.

Just a word about the "commentary" that Ronnie Twaites is doing to say that I am enjoying it very much and look forward to it.

When i was in Jamaica as a young man I was a ardent listener to him on Public Eye JBC, and it is refresshing to know that his comments and vibes is strong after all these years.

I would only say that if I miss a comment I would want it posted online so that we can check it out.

Love CIN.

It was refreshing to find my favourite no holds barred politician on CIN.  I think adding Rev Thwaites to the CIN lineup will increase your following as he brings candor and insight to what's happening in the Jamaica

Jamaican's in the diaspora, especially in New York where the concentration is so high will definitely appreciate the link to home through one that is a true Jamaican patriot and puts a magnifying glass on issues other media may miss.
